All About Me.

Welcome to my Page! My name is Beenish Durrani, more commonly called Ms. Bee. Thank you for considering my services for your family. I completed my Bachelors degree with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Education in 1999 After graduation, I began a career in marketing. Although my new job satisfied my creative side, I longed to work with children. I joined a classroom as an Assistant Teacher, and never left. I was the Assistant Teacher and then Lead Teacher at McNair Farms Children’s Center from 2002-2004. I started Pitter Patter Children’s Center in 2003. Pitter Patter Children’s Center is a Virginia state licensed Family Home Daycare.

Early childhood education is important because it affects the development of the brains and provides the foundation for future learning, behavior, and health. I created my Family Home day care for young children because I feel that young children develop more rapidly and securely in a homelike and positive, nurturing and loving interactions between caregivers and children. Our goal is to provide the best Early Childhood environment for your children.  Welcome to our Pitter Patter Family!

PITTER PATTER PHILOSOPHY OF QUALITY CARE:

My program is designed to encourage play based exploration. Activities include free playtime, structured playtime, large motor skill playtime, small motor skills activities, story time, dramatic play, arts and crafts, and music and dance. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided and good personal hygiene and manners are always encouraged. Along with these activities, every child enjoys lots of nurturing, laughing, conversation, and unconditional love

Why Play Based Learning ?

We believe that learning happens best in play based settings where children are active explorers and learners and bring their prior knowledge into the learning experience. Play based learning describes a learning context in which children learn while playing freely and self-directed, with teacher guidance.

Why Outside Play is Important?

Playing outdoors has benefits for both young children and educators. It’s a refreshing pause in the day’s schedule—time set aside to look and listen, explore and observe, move and let loose. Time spent outside can lead to better physical and mental health, improved sleep, and cognitive, social, and emotional gains for young children. Ensuring that outdoor play is an integral part of your child care and education setting’s daily schedule supports early learning across all domains and unleashes a whole lot of joy—for you and for children!
